Founded in 2007, Rezan Has Museum (Rezan Has Müzesi) is one of the newest private museums in Istanbul. As a branch of Kadir Has University, the collection of Rezan Has Museum consists of thousands of objects and artifacts dating from the Neolithic Period to the twentieth century that includes approximately 9000 years.
Rezan Has Museum is located in Cibali on the shore of the Golden Horn and it consists of three unique and historical structures: an eleventh-century Byzantine cistern, a seventeenth-century Ottoman hamam (Turkish bath), and twentieth-century former cigarette and tobacco factory.
Located on the northern coast of Istanbul’s historical peninsula, Rezan Has Museum is close to several important sights such as Greek Orthodox Patriarchate Church (St. George Church), Fener and Balat Neighborhoods, Pantokrator Monastery (Zeyrek Mosque), and Valens Aqueduct.
Rezan Has Museum is open everyday between 9 am and 6 pm except for national holidays. Entrance to the museum is 10 Turkish Lira for adults and 5 Turkish Lira for children under 12 years old.
