Whenever a famous Broadway or West End musical visits the city, you can bet that it will end up at the main stage of Zorlu PSM. This sleek performance arts center is nestled within Zorlu Center -a gigantic luxury mall located literally at the heart of Istanbul’s business district. Since 2013, Zorlu PSM has hosted a wide variety of local and international music and theater shows spanning from the mainstream to the experimental at its seven venues, offering a dynamic cultural calendar for art and music buffs with an outstanding average of 3 events per day. While 100% Studio hosts electronic music parties for a younger crowd with its club-like atmosphere, the jazz and comedy club touché offers good food and music in a more intimate atmosphere. Do not miss three music festivals annually organized by Zorlu PSM as well: Sónar Istanbul, Mix Festival & Zorlu PSM Jazz Festival has already formed a loyal fan base in the city. Just check their calendar when you are in the city, and you would not regret it.
Although it is located in a neighborhood off the beaten tourist path, Zorlu Center became an instant city attraction for locals and tourists alike, due to its well-thought-out combination of casual and luxury retail with good food, music and art. The legendary hospitality group Raffles Hotels and Resorts has an outpost here, as well as the Eataly, which has been a haven for the culinary enthusiasts in the city since its arrival. The Foster+Partners designed Apple Store is a first in Turkey and is still the centerpiece of the shopping mall’s crescent-shaped main plaza.
The Zorlu Center is a mall pretty well connected to the public transport system of Istanbul. Frequent buses and minibuses would take you from the main transport of hubs of Şişli, Mecidiyeköy and Beşiktaş directly to Zorlu Center. The metro and metrobus systems also have special underground connections at the exit of their Zincirlikuyu stations. Once you are in the mall, ask for the open-air Meydan Floor, where you would find the entrance of Zorlu PSM. Needles to say the shopping center has a massive parking lot as well as a vale service.
